Q-1: What Item should I first check out before Installation?
ANS: Please ensure that the USB port function is enabled under BIOS setup menu. Check if there is any standard 4-pin USB port (with the symbol ) in the back panel or front panel on your PC or Notebook. If you got standard 4-pin USB port on your PC or notebook, you can check if your PC or Notebook is USB compatible or not by downloading a utility program from http://www.usb.org/. Steps to download as follows:
à Save this program to your computer C:\program\usbready.exe
à Run usbready.exe
If your computer is USB compatible, it will show the Green "YES" sign in the testing program. If your computer is USB incompatible, it will show the Red "NO" sign in the testing program. If your desktop or notebook PC does not support for USB function, please contact with your local agent for any possibility to upgrade.

Q-8: How to use the synchronize function on the application (PC-Linq)?
ANS: (1) The file synchronize function on PC-Linq will show up while do the copy action (files transfer) with some same name file(s) co-existing on both sites no matter from folder to disk or folder to folder. But you can’t do the file synchronize from comparing folder to folder without any copy action.
[Example]:
1) Two PCs (1 & 2) connect via PC-Linq software.
2) When PC-1 copies a subdirectory from "local" site to "remote" site (PC-2), a windows will pop out providing five options (Yes/ Yes to all/ No/ Newer/ Cancel) if PC-2 has the same file(s) existed as the one(s) in the subdirectory of PC-1 to be copied.
3) Please click "Newer" option, system will automatically compare file(s) with same name on PC-2 with the to-be-copied file(s) in the subdirectory on PC-1, then reserve the latest version (or up to date) of files to copy.
(2) Except the above mentioned, there is no other kind of file synchronize function (i.e. co-working with My Briefcase) that PC-Linq can work with because the main purpose is only for file transfer, not for file synchronization.

Q-10: What is the difference between USB-USB Bridge and USB-USB/ Network Bridge?
ANS: The differences are as below:
1) The USB-USB link product has its own driver, PC-Linq application, and cable and connects only two computers simultaneously for file transfer.
2) The USB-USB/ Network product has its own driver & cable but uses the "Network Explorer" item on Windows as its application and connects more than two computers simultaneously for networking. This is the totally two different products between USB-USB Bridge and USB-USB/Network Bridge. In fact, you can’t use USB-USB Bridge cable with "Network Explorer" application. If the purpose is for networking function, it must use USB-USB/ Network driver with its own cable & run "Network Explorer" application because both hardware are not compatible with each other.

Q-11: Why can’t use the application (PC-Linq) to transfer files from one PC to CD-RW device of another PC?
ANS: Under application (PC-Linq), it only can read data from CD-RW & do file-transfer but it cannot directly write data to CD-RW due to PC-Linq’s limitation that it can’t run any other program under the application (PC-Linq). Please be noted that to do "write" action for CD-RW needs to run the associated program.
